The Penn State Alumni Association

What’s been happening:

After graduating Penn State in May 1997, I started working for Motorola as an Orbit Analyst on the Iridium Project. Iridium is a Satellite Constellation which provides global satellite phone service. I worked for Motorola until 2001 and then for Boeing until 2005 on the same project. In September 1999, I married my husband Chris Diering. We currently own and live in our beautiful home in Leesburg, VA. We love to travel and have visited many places within the US, such as San Francisco; Las Vegas; the Grand Canyon; New York City; Chicago; Louisville; Birmingham; Tampa; Niagara Falls; and Disney World and traveled internationally to the Bahamas; London,England; and Paris,France. We recently adopted a Border Collie mix puppy and named him "Rocket". The longer I'm away from good 'ole PSU, the more I seem to long for it. We've been lucky enough to see a few home football games over the years, but it's never enough. Although I try to explain it, my husband still doesn't get my absolute infatuation with all things Penn State, or my worshiping of JoePa. Whenever I tell non-Penn Staters that I went to Penn State, sometimes they just shake their heads and can't understand why we alumni still bleed blue and white. I simply say, "You just had to go there to understand!" Going to Penn State was truly a magic experience for me and I'm so proud to call myself a Nittany Lion.
